Haakon turns 1!

Haakon turns one month old today, he'll sleep 4 hours at a time during the night which is helping Chas out a lot. His big sister is still getting used to him and needs to ease off biting her classmates, word on the street her dad was a well known biter back in his day....

Monday night was dad's maiden voyage with the two kids alone while mom played softball. The night went perfect for me, we went swimming at a neighbors and Haakon slept the whole time we were over there. Solveig showered on the way out the door and went right to bed when we got home.

Saturday Solveig and I ran 6 miles, took forever in the wind pushing the burley but we managed. Took Monday off and ran 6 with Kevin today.

We finally updated our webpage, it's been almost 2 years. We are now posting all our pictures through google picasa web, it works slick. So watch out for pictures fling up there a few times a week.

Solveig swam with the neighbors today and went biking with her mom. Haakon did the usual, hung out and ate then pooped his pants for us to clean up. It's supposed to be really hot again tomorrow and we plan on heading out the local swimming hole tomorrow morning. Solveig loves her water!

Went 25 miles on the bike today, got a flat about 2 miles out of town so it put a damper on the ride, turned a 1hr 15 min ride into an 1hr 30 min ride. The pavement was boiling from the heat and I was sweating liking dog.

first blog-thistle

Thought I would try this bloggy thing out, I will be completely random on my posts but try and focus on my fitness training.

First topic is does anyone know how to kill thistle in my yard without killing my yard? Or any general yard tips to get a thicker greener lawn?

Work out today was a speed track workout, biked 3.5 miles to the track, ran 3.25 miles at a 6:15 pace and then road home 3.5 miles. This workout usually wrecks me but we'll see in the morning.
